Clinical Associate Professor

Minimum Qualifications:
Earned MA in Chinese, Foreign Languages or related field; native/near-native fluency in Chinese; minimum 18 months experience teaching Chinese language at the college-level.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Near-native fluency in Shanghainese; demonstrated ability to teach all levels of Chinese and Shanghainese, including business Chinese, media Chinese, and classical Chinese; knowledge of classical Chinese literature with specialization in more than one epoch; demonstrated ability to advise students in both academic and cultural activities; demonstrated  knowledge of program promotion, public events, and recruitment.   
 
Description/Duties:
Teach undergraduate classes in Chinese language, culture, and literature on campus or via telecommunication; assist in course development/program building; advise students; coordinate Chinese preceptors; and serve on department, college, and university committees.
