QUALIFICATIONS:   Senior level applicants are sought with an established reputation in research, teaching and administrative service to become the Director of the Clinical Psychology doctoral program in the Department of Psychology at Washington State University.  The applicant should have  research and scholarly interests that fit with the College of Liberal Arts and University strategic initiatives in Social, Psychological and Biological aspects of Human Health and Well Being.   Candidates must have evidence of (1) a high quality research program in one of the four areas that involves doctoral students; (2) high quality undergraduate and graduate teaching; (3) prior supervision of theses and dissertations; (4) clinical supervision; and (5) administrative experience.  Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, completed an APA-approved internship, and be license eligible in the state of Washington.  The successful candidate will need to be able to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Psychology, supervise clinical work conducted by graduate students, supervise the theses and dissertations of graduate students, and establish and maintain a productive research program.

LOCATION:   Washington State University is a moderate-sized (17,000 students) land-grant institution located in Pullman Washington, a small college town in rural southeastern Washington.  The clinical psychology program has been accredited by the APA since 1956.  A detailed description of the Ph.D. program in clinical psychology, the Ph.D. program in experimental psychology, and the research programs of the faculty in the Department of Psychology may be reviewed at www.wsu.edu/psychology.
