Training ToolKit for Instructors and Departments
Human Resource Services has developed a process to help you coordinate and document training activities sponsored through your department. Three simple steps will ensure that attendance at your training is recorded, thus providing service to the sponsoring department, the instructor, and the participants. This process satisfies the recommendations and requirements for documenting training activity.
Step One: Schedule the Workshop
- Become familiar with the differing roles as you plan a session:
- Instructor Guide: The person designated as the instructor for a sessions can view enrollments and print the roster for the session, register learners and confirm their attendance after the session.
- Session Administrator: (optional) This person can do all the functions of the instructor and also modify session details or schedule additional sessions.
- Do you plan to distribute handouts at the workshop? Post them on a web site and send us the url to include them in the course description.
- Are other SkillSoft online course and book references appropriate to include in the course description? These can be cited in the course descripton.
Step Two: Contact those enrolled
- Instructors and Administrators may email those enrolled at any time with details or reminders of the upcoming session.
Step Three: Confirm the Attendance
- Instructors and Administrators may print the roster to be circulated at the session.
- After the session, the instructor or administrator confirms attendance and completes the session.
