Uniform Medical Plan

UMP PPO is a preferred provider organization. That means you can choose your own providers. You don’t have to choose a primary care provider who acts as a “gatekeeper” to manage your care, and you don’t need to get a referral from UMP to see a specialist. You will receive the highest level of benefit and pay the lowest amount out of your pocket if you see network providers.

With choice comes responsibility! To get the most out of your benefits, you need to know what services UMP PPO covers and whether your provider is in our network.

Group Health Classic

The Classic plan offers Group Health's broadest coverage and lowest copayments for office visits and other services. What's more, there's no deductible. And office visits, including acupuncture and naturopathy, have just a $10 copay. Generic and brand-name prescriptions have a $10 and $30 copay, respectively. Plus, lab and X-rays are covered in full.

Group Health Value

If you're concerned about monthly costs, the Value plan has the lowest premium you can get. Rates are just $13 per month for individuals, $23 for individual and child, $36 for individual and spouse, and $46 for individual and family. Copayments are slightly higher than the Classic plan for office visits. However, you'll receive the same valuable services.

Aetna Public Employees Plan

Aetna Public Employees Plan provides comprehensive medical benefits and helpful tools and resources to help enrollees maintain their health and the health of their families.

With Aetna Public Employees Plan, there are no deductibles to satisfy first before using your medical or prescription drug benefits. You can also see any doctor or health care provider, even specialists, as long they’re members of the Aetna provider network. You don’t need to choose a primary care provider first or get a referral for a specialist!

Just be sure to always choose an Aetna network provider for services to be covered. Services provided by non-network providers are not covered, except for emergency care.
