EndNote Workshops with Jane Scales
EndNote Workshops combine the instruction of specific learning goals during the first scheduled hour, and open lab time for problem solving during the second hour. Four specific titles exist to help you select the best sessions for your needs:
- EndNote: Beginners Class covers understanding the EndNote X2 interface, setting preferences, simple and complex sorting, editing references, creating a library, manually entering data, selecting output styles, and exporting references from “Academic Search Complete.”
- EndNote: Using Databases with EndNote includes how to access and use the correct connection files, troubleshooting when incorrect data is imported, issues of direct export vs. searching via EndNote, forming permalinks to articles, and attaching .PDF files to your references.
- EndNote: Cite While You Write describes how to use EndNote and Microsoft Word to create independent bibliographies, format documents with in-text citations and a bibliography, and how to troubleshoot when you encounter problems using “Cite While You Write.”
- EndNote: Open Workshop provides time for those who have taken the three previous EndNote instructional sessions to receive assistance with individual problems and questions.
