Working in conjunction with individuals and departments across Washington State University, Human Resource Services coordinates opportunities for leadership development throughout the year. Below are brief descriptions and links to ongoing and anticipated offerings.

Fiscal Management Training Resources
This wide array of training opportunities targets the needs of employees with fiscal responsibilities. Three concept areas have been developed to deepen one's knowledge of WSU accounting systems, processes and procedures.
Global Resources, Education and Training (GREAT)
Various WSU offices collaborate with Human Resource Services to provide learning opportunities that enhance cross-cultural understanding. Purposefully broad and ranging across a variety of professional and academic concerns, many of these courses are of unique interest to WSU faculty and advisors while others are appropriate for the entire university community.
Enhanced Supervisory Training
This training series is designed especially for leads, supervisors and managers who are looking for more opportunities to learn and grow in their leadership abilities. Some of the sessions build upon topics examined in the Supervisory Training Series while others introduce additional concepts and skills Each session is intended to be highly participative by incorporating case studies, structured activities and interactive discussion wherever possible.

Managing in Cougar Country
The 2008 Managing in Cougar Country conference takes place on August 7. Planning is underway to provide directors, managers and supervisors with the most up to date information in a variety of areas. Enroll now!
Research Administration Series
Designed specifically for those involved with the administration of sponsored programs, processes and requirements, this series is available through the combined efforts of Sponsored Program Services, the Office of Grant Research and Development, and Human Resource Services. WSU Libraries Research Workshops
WSU Library Instruction Program experts work with Human Resource Services each year to create a schedule of opportunities to help faculty, staff, and students manage their research endeavors. Such topics as keeping up with the latest communication aids, finding journals and other resources in the libraries, and posting findings on a web page. Learn more through the following link:
WSU Online Learning Resources
Since July 1, 2005 the expansive courseware and online publications of WSU's Online Learning system have been available to all current WSU employees and students.
