Security Reminders

If WSU students are part of your SkillPort Management group you must complete FERPA (Family Educational Records Protections Act) Training. FERPA is designed to limit the amout and type of information that eduactional institutions release regarding student information.

If you are administering training on a subject related to handling, inputing or manipulating student or employee data, keep in mind to use ficticious data when authoring presentation examples for your training. When creating dummy data - make it obvious.

When authoring presentations for your training sessions, it is important to keep in mind WSU policies on plagiarism and copyright use. For more information, refer to the WSU Plagiarism Information Site.

Cartoons:
Cartoons are often copyright protected, and should not be used as visual aides in your presentations unless you have the artist's permission. Some common comics that are copyright protected include, but are not limited to:
