

To help training instructors and online system administrators with the HRS Online Training System, we have put together a brief guide to navigating your online enrollments in SkillPort. If you need further troubleshooting help than what is provided here, please contact our office at HRS Training, or by phone at 509-335-4521.
Instructor Functions
The instructions below illustrate each of the instructor functions.
1. Access SkillSoft: https://www.hrs.wsu.edu/skillsoft
2. Upcoming Sessions
- Click on the "My ILT" link on the left side of your Online Learning SkillPort Home Page. This opens the ILT site and lists your sessions in the "Upcoming Sessions" section.
- Click on the Session Number to access the "View Session" page.
3. Session Details
Session Controls
At the top of the page is the control menu. (Letters have been added to this illustration for ease of explanation.)

a - Create a new session featuing this course
(Opens the scheduling web form)
b - Edit this session by changing date, location, etc. (Opens the scheduling web form)
c - Create a new session which is a copy of this session
(Clones the visible session and opens the scheduling web form for modifications)
d - Cancel this session
(Removes the session from the schedule, cancels registrations, and sends an automatic email to instructors)
e - Mark this session as closed to further registrations
(Session is still active by no others may register)
f - Mark this session as complete
(Prevents further modification by the instructor and posts records of attendance to the learner's transcript)
g - Mail all registered and wait-listed learners
(Opens a customizable email that can be sent to interested learners)
h - Register learners (add learners to the roster)
(Provides access to the thousands of system users, allowing instructors to register them in the session)
i - Enter the session results (e.g. attendance, scores)
(Allows final tallying of who attended the session)
j - Generate session sign-in sheet
(Creates a printable form of the roster to circulate in the session as a sign-in sheet)
k - Session learner report
(Creates an Excel spreadsheet itemizing registration and session details)
l - View the session information in a printer-friendly format
* PLEASE NOTE: Instructors are able to use the following of the above listed functions:
- Checking registrations
- Registering new learners
- Withdrawing registered learners
- Emailing registered and wait-listed learners
- Generating session roster/sign-in sheets
- Confirming session attendance
- Completing sessions

Session Details
This section gives specific details on a single session. Other important information may be present in the Session Notes near the bottom of this section.
* PLEASE NOTE the hyperlinks to WSU Maps and Directions and to payment instructions if a fee is required for attendance.
Session Roster
Below the session detail is the Schedule Information and the Roster of enrolled participants.
- Generate a sign-in sheet to circulate among the session participants.
- Send an email to those registered for the session.
4. Enter Session Results
After your session has occurred you may submit the sign-in sheet to HRS for input (campus zip 1014) or confirm attendance yourself:
- To confirm attendance, click on the "Enter the session results" button
PLEASE NOTE: The resulting roster is defaulted to mark all enrollees as having attended. Remove the check marks for those who did not attend.
- Use the Register Learners button to enroll any who attended but did not previously enroll.
- Click on the confirm button to commit changes.
5. Complete the session
- Once attendance records have been properly submitted, click on the "Complete the session" button.
If you later learn changes need to be made, contact hrstraining@wsu.edu HRS for assistance.
PLEASE NOTE: Attendance records will not appear in the learners' reports until the session is completed.
