The Office of the Provost works closely with Human Resource Services to coordinate this annual series addressing such topics as faculty performance reviews, personnel issues and recruitment, as well as graduate student and undergraduate student issues.

Robert Cassleman, Fran McSweeney, Dena Neese and Raul Sanchez
This workshop addresses faculty recruitment, mentoring and retention at Washington State University. Among the specific topics addressed are the recruitment process, the partner accommodation policy, professional leave and the retirement policy.

Understanding Diversity, Ethics and Workplace Harassment
Melynda Huskey, Heather Lopez and Raul Sanchez
Washington State University's Strategic Plan brought forward by the Office of the Vice President for Equity and Diversity is addressed in this course. WSU's Workplace Discrimination and Sexual Harassment Policy is also reviewed, as well as the State Ethics Law with an emphasis upon the appropriate use of resources and conflicts of interest.

University Budgets - Management and Processes
Joan King and Tom Martin
This workshop blends two budgetary perspectives into a single conversation.  It begins with a focus on WSU's planning and budgeting process, including the identification of sources, the uses of funds and state level budgeting policies and process.  Then information and insight into successfully managing departmental and unit budgets is incorporated into the discussion.
